A real needs analysis
We work through your buildings, stock, plant, vehicles, staff and liabilities line by line — the same schedule we use for corporate accounts. It is the difference between a policy that looks right and one that is right.
Most people find out what their policy actually covers on the worst day of their life. INERCA exists to make that day a non-event — we analyse your risk line by line before you sign, structure the cover to match it, and act for you when you claim. Our specialists carry more than 29 years of combined experience in Botswana's insurance industry.
Almost every declined claim traces back to a decision made long before the loss — the wrong sum insured, a section left off, a condition nobody explained. This is where we do our work.
We work through your buildings, stock, plant, vehicles, staff and liabilities line by line — the same schedule we use for corporate accounts. It is the difference between a policy that looks right and one that is right.
Sums insured set against real replacement values, the right sections selected, and the exclusions pointed out in plain language rather than buried in a schedule you will never open.
Claims advocacy is the part people only value once. We prepare the claim, push it through the insurer, and challenge a repudiation we believe is wrong. You are not doing that alone.
The needs analysis we run for corporate accounts, turned into something you can do yourself on your phone. Tap through a handful of questions about how your business operates — no policy numbers, no documents, no exact figures — and get a written risk profile naming the covers that apply to you and the gaps that matter most.
You see your profile before we ask for a single contact detail.
Your policy is issued and your claim is settled by the underwriter. Our job is getting you to the right product and holding the process to account.
INERCA Holdings (Pty) Ltd is licensed by NBFIRA to act as an insurance agent for two underwriters. Your policy is issued and your claim is paid by them; our job is to get you to the right product and to hold the process to account.
The largest non-life insurer in Botswana following its amalgamation with Regent Botswana, and part of the Hollard Group — founded in 1980, privately owned, with more than 10 million policyholders across four continents and a presence throughout the SADC region.
Covers everything from motor and household through to engineering, marine, aviation and liability classes.
Our appointed life underwriter, covering life assurance, funeral benefits and the personal protection side of a household or employee benefits programme.
Where a family needs both — a funeral plan and cover on the house it lives in — we structure them together rather than as two unrelated products.
From a single bakkie to contractors all risks on a live site. If you are not sure which of these applies to you, that is exactly what the needs analysis is for — start with a conversation, not a product.
A genuine sequence, not a slogan. Here is what happens between your first message and your policy documents.
Ten minutes on WhatsApp, the phone, or the form on this page. No documents needed yet.
TodayBuildings, stock, plant, vehicles, staff and liabilities, worked through line by line and turned into insurance data.
1 working dayYou get the cover priced, the sections explained, and a written recommendation with the reasoning behind it.
1–2 working daysYou accept, we place and confirm cover with the underwriter, and your policy schedule and documents follow.
Same dayService meetings quarterly or on demand, a renewal review each year, and claims advocacy whenever you need it.
OngoingReport it to us as soon as it happens, even if you are not sure it is claimable — late notification is one of the most common reasons a valid claim gets repudiated. Lodging online fills in Hollard's own claim form for you and hands it back as a PDF, so you are not printing anything or deciphering an insurer's layout.

Our communities are key stakeholders in our business operations. We prioritise serving them through continuous engagement with the representatives who speak for them — for information, for validation, and for support. Two things we have done about it.
The netball court at Seepapitso had been losing ground to bush for years. It is where students learn teamwork, build confidence and find out what they are good at — and it was disappearing under the vegetation.
To mark our fifth anniversary we chose to commemorate the milestone by clearing it. Our team worked alongside the school community, with plant on site, until the court and its surroundings were usable again. Not a cheque and a photograph — days of work, finished.
We launched INERCA Baby with a visit to the clinic — donating bundles of baby clothes, warm blankets and feeding bottles to mothers and their newborns, so that a family's first weeks start with a little less to worry about.
The day was carried by the people who turned out for it. Together we are building a warmer, brighter future for the next generation.
Five years of INERCA, measured not only by business but by the lives it touches and the communities it strengthens.
Fill this in and it opens a message to our WhatsApp with your details already written out — you just press send. Or email it instead. Either way a person who understands the cover picks it up, not a call centre.
Quoting and advising costs you nothing. Our commission is paid by the insurer.
We work out what you are exposed to first, then price it — not the other way round.
Whoever quotes you handles your renewal and your claim. You will know their name.
